                     Why attend your 40th?????
10 Year - Very Cliquey!  Who was the most succesful, most degrees.
20 Year - Who still looked good, still married, starting to care.
30 Year - Wow, we are still here, we want to see everyone, and no more  
              cliques!  (How can we every recognize our clique-we don't look the  
              same anymore!)
40 Year - Happy to be alive! We really wanto see everyone, make some new     
              friends, and invite other classes to clebrate with us.

Your committee wants to include all of your memories, and we want everyone to come!  We reserved the Torrance Marriott Hotel for August 23rd, guaranteeing 200 people - by doing this we can keep the cost to under $100 if you buy your ticket before June 15.   Your ticket cost includes:

1.  Meeting and greeting at the patio - with appetizers.  No host bar.
2.  Sit down dinner.
3.  Karaoke! For those who dare - an award for the best group presentation! 
     Dance to a DJ.  Send us your music and other requests ahead of time!
     Group Dances - maybe even a dance contest!  Remember the dance shows!

We will be having a photo montage on the big screen, a video of past reunions, testimonials from those who can't make it, like maybe our foreign exchange student, Luiz Aguiar, and a time to remember those whom we have lost.

Your committe decided on the Marriott (which has been remodeled since 1998).   There's an outside fireplace (for those who are still romantic!) and patio seating adjacent to the ballroom.   Our ballroom has a dance floor (for all of us who want to "shake it" and a bar just outside the main door.  This will allow us to party until 1:00 a.m., purchase our favorite drink (we are old enough now) and not have to drive!  For room reservations, contact the Marriott at 310-316-3636. 

The following day we will have a no host picnic from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach to continue the trivia, rekindle the memories, and chat with old friends to get up-to-date news on each others lives. 

The Class of 68 would also like to invite all Olympians from any graduating classes of the 60's.  Last August the Class of '67 opened their reunion to other classes and a few of us went.  It was a Blast!  The photos from their reunion are posted on lhs1967.myevent.com.    Take a look!

If you have questions regarding the cost of the reunion, contact the committee.  If you can't make it but would like to contribute money to the reunion fund it would be greatly appreciated.  That money will be used to help fund the reunion or sponsor a classmate's attendance.
